ASSISTANT BUILDING INSPECTOR – DEPARTMENT OF TECHNICAL SERVICES – CODE ENFORCEMENT DIVISION Town of Cortlandt - FT

Assists in reviewing plans and specifications submitted with building permit applications and inspects existing buildings and structures, new building construction and building repairs enforcing the provisions of the local building code, the zoning and plumbing ordinances and the Multiple Residence Law. Reviews building plans and specifications submitted in connection with building permit applications. Municipal code enforcement experience preferred. Completion of Code Enforcement Training Course preferred.  Three (3) years of on-site building construction experience and/or investigative work to enforce codes and ordinances specifically related to the construction and safety of building structures. Reports to the Director of Code Enforcement in the Code Enforcement Division.  Salary Range - $76,983-$85,304.  Deadline for application is Friday, January 23, 2026.  E-mail resume to C.
