The Town Comptroller Provides Overall Management Supervision of the financial activities of the Town under the directon of the Supervisor and Town Board. The Town Comptroller handles the investment of Town Funds, as well as the periodic issuance of debt (bonds and notes). The Town of Cortlandt is rated Aa1 by Moody's.

FINANCIAL STATEMENT AUDITS:
In addition to periodic Audits by the New York State Deparment of Audit and Control, the financial statements of the Town are audited annually by EFPR Group, CPA's. The Financial Statements can be accessed HERE.
Adopted Budgets:
The Town Comptroller prepares the Annual Budget. The Supervisor's Proposed Budget must be received by the Town Clerk by October 30th, and the Town Board must Adopt the Annual Budget by December 20th. Previously Adopted Budgets can be accessed HERE.
FISCAL TRANSPARENCY:
The 2026 Proposed Digital Budget Book and the Town of Cortlandt Fiscal Transparency Center provide users with interactive data on the Town finances.
