The Verplanck Schoolhouse Community Center, established in 1985 and located on Sixth Street in the hamlet of Verplanck, serves as a community meeting space for town residents. It is home to the Verplanck Senior Citizen Club, which meets regularly and is open to residents aged 60 and older.

Membership in the club offers a variety of benefits, including social events, informational seminars, special trips, overnight excursions, and weekly shopping outings. Members also have the opportunity to participate in shared activities with the Nor-Cort/Cortlandt Club.
