On Sunday, the Town of Cortlandt recognized the 77th Anniversary of D-Day. 

We honor the sacrifices that were made 77 years ago by the brave men and women that fought for our country and freedoms. 

It was a sad day with many Americans losing their lives in World War II on that Beach. However, it was one of the battles that helped to eventually end the War.
